The Ps4?

So again theres the rumor going around that the ps3 is going to be presented at e3 this year, so nothing new under the sun except that it’s pretty early for those since they usually start popping up in april.
But this year it seems does have a really high chance of it actually appearing.
I don’t care what Pachter says, after all he did peg the next Wii for 2009, 2010 and 2011, so what does he know.
Instead lets examine the evidence.

LG 55″ OLED tv

Yes it’s finally arrived, the OLED generation of tvs, it’s been hinted at for years and there had been a few relatively tiny expensive predecessors, but again it’s finally here, the LG 55″ OLED tv, i just hope the price is something reasonable, though i assume it’s not since it’s the only one announced so far.

So now just make it bigger, cheaper, 4K and HDR and im good for a while.

Nikons next move

So news about nikon events are beginning to pop up throughout the world coinciding with the long awaited release of the Nikon D4 and rumors has it that there will also be a mirror-less system as well, sort of similar to the micro 4/3 system (in fact images released of the lens mount look almost exactly like that).
Nikon is also no stranger to creating really great and revolutionary products that still feel like they build on a legacy several decades old (because they do), so what is in store for these new cameras and what should they really be doing.

Khronos Releases OpenGL 4.2 Specification

So Khronos released a new version of openGL and while it doesn’t contain any revolutionary changes is clearly a  step in the right direction and i can’t wait to test some of them out, all i need now is a new gpu, but there is some things i might add to my game engines that i can test now like ARB_texture_storage.
So check it out now as nvidia already has drivers available
